It’s been a while, but I’m back with the latest in this occasional series. Today’s is apt after an afternoon listening to ambient music maestro Brian Eno





adjective: ambient

    relating to the immediate surroundings of something.
    “the liquid is stored at below ambient temperature”
    • relating to ambient music.
  2. 2.
    relating to or denoting advertising that makes use of sites or objects other than the established media (e.g. by placing slogans on the back of bus tickets).
late 16th century: from French ambiant or Latin ambient- ‘going round’, from ambire .
