Poetry meets Photography 01 – ‘On the Forest Floor’

Today’s blog is a hybrid; Poetry meets Photography. It’s a mix of two of my other blogs: my photography one, ‘My Daily Snap’ and my poetry blog ‘Today’s Poem’. You can see other examples of my photography and poetry on these blogs. The image and poem seemed to fit with each other perfectly, reflecting a subject I’m very passionate about – the natural world.

Footfall – I

Light of touch,
Press
Softly, not too much,
Less
Nature’s bed
Be beyond repair,
Your leaden
Footfall
Permanently, recorded there

Tread gently on,
And upon
This aged land,
Leave only thoughts
No careless hand,
So all that here, remains
To be,
Another’s cherished memory
